Cindy Stokes at Modernbooks, Palo Alto

Stokes_MB.jpg

Participating KALEID gallery artist Cindy Stokes is in an upcoming juried exhibit at Modernbook in Palo Alto.

For the fourth consecutive year, Modernbook owners Bryan Yedinak and Mark Pinsukanjana have teamed up with photographer Brigitte Carnochan and the Stanford Continuing Studies Program to mount an exhibition by 18 emerging local photographers. The photographers, all juried into Continuing Studies Art 44 on the basis of an existing body of work, learn to prepare their work for gallery presentation. Carnochan, Yedinak and Pinsukanjana guide them through the business of exhibiting photography-editing, producing and displaying as well as editioning, pricing and marketing. Then the gallery owners hang-and sell-the photos.
