The snake has been celebrated and revered for many millennia in numerous world cultures. Through its slender, smooth exterior it hides many myths and secrets within its appendage-less body. Its fangs bring agonizing death to the naïve, but by shedding its skin it is reborn again and again. Dragons, guardians, demigods, demons… they represent many things to many people. Cukui is proud to present our first show of the New Year. The Year of The Snake, as the lunar calendar dictates, falls upon us this cycle. A collection of fine artists will assemble together to interpret their own notions on what significance the snake plays in their lives.
