San Jose's own TAIKO on SPARK this week

SPARK is a great weekly program that airs art, performance and culture segments each week on KQED. We're looking forward to this week's episode which features San Jose TAIKO, and Victor Cartagena, an artist that we became familiar with through MACLA years ago.

The episode will air several times over the next few days so check listings here.

Btw....if you want to see TAIKO for real, they'll be performing at the Obon Festival in Japantown this weekend, 4:30pm on July 12th and 3:30pm on July 13th.

San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin
640 No. 5th Street (between Jackson & Taylor)
Japantown, San Jose
For a complete schedule, visit the Obon site here.
