Backwater Arts

Former KALEID artist Sara Cole is working on an exciting new artists' live/work arts studio community called Backwater Arts.

Sara says: We are in the infant stages of developing a viable live/work arts studio community. We are beginning with one Victorian house on an industrial property near Senter and Tully (691 Quinn), and we have it in our multi-yeared plan to expand throughout the neighboring warehouses in order to create a viable arts community in San Jose.

We are currently developing our Victorian house into studios and an alternative space gallery. There is studio space available for move in on November 1st. Please email me if you are interested at sara[at]saravcole.com.

Also, save the dates:
December 1st - Inaugural exhibition reception of a show highlighting the studio residents and several other local San Jose artists.

January 5th - exhibition reception Self-Referential, a group show of figurative work.
Both receptions start at 6 and go late.
