Gary Colman at Bel Bacio

"Gary Coleman's California Landscapes", a third generation native Californian's impressions of his beloved land will be on view February 13– March 3rd with a "meet the artist" event Saturday February 15th, from 2 - 4pm.

Bel Bacio is just a few doors from Henry's Hi-Life at 350 W. Julian St., SJ 95110.
The cafe is open 7am to 8pm, serving coffees imported from Naples, Italy

ZOOK58 Show at Empire Seven Feb. 15th

Antonio NAVA Torres (San Jose / currently Los Angeles) will be exhibiting his new original works. His paintings go back to his roots. Elements of graffiti art are in the majority of his pieces. Inspired by family, culture, and life events, Antonio creates spontaneous and uninhibited art. Using acrylic and gesso paint as his mediums to create abstract expressionist paintings that evoke emotion and promote thought.


Opening Reception: Saturday, February 15th 7–11pm

Exhibition on view through March 1, 2014.

San Jose ceramics artist Wesley Wright has a solo show at Roscoe Ceramics Gallery in Oakland February 7-22, 2014.

Deep Reading Group Exhibit at Euphrat Museum


KALEID Gallery digital artist John Kurtyka is a featured artist in the group exhibition DEEP READING at the Euphrat Museum in Cupertino on the De Anza campus. Kurtyka will be showing 12 digital works in a custom 32” digital picture frame.

DEEP READING looks at the intersection of humanity and technology and traditional practices in the digital age. Artworks include one-of-a-kind, small edition, and digital artists' books with computer woven tapestries, paintings, geolocation-based AR
(augmented reality), prints, and sculpture.

Artists include Milton Bowens, Julie Chen and Flying Fish Press, Antonio Cortez, Wayne Jiang, Pantea Karimi, John Kurtyka, Marlene Larson, Magnolia Editions with Enrique Chagoya, Guy Diehl, and Hung Liu with Michael McClure, Kent Manske, Moonbot Studios, Jamila Rufaro, Vita Wells, Nanette Wylde, and Xiaoze Xie. Special installation with Chesa Caparas' Stanford Human Rights Education Initiative project and artists' books by De Anza College Art and Design students.
