Phantom Galleries presents Lonesome Town new works by Kori Thompson at Good Karma Vegan Café.

Everyone has a story. A story of why they are the way are. Every story leads up to when you cross paths or interact with that person. Whether its a person you talk to for a few minutes or a life long friend you see everyday. Our biggest contribution to one another is inspiration. It’s something that is not fake or phony, it can not be bought or sold. It’s a real feeling. These paintings represent the impression people I’ve met have left on me. ~Kori Thompson

This month's Feature Artist Michael Foley will be on hand to answer any and all of your questions about his current exhibition "Keeping Up with Appearances".

FOUND Magazine’s 10th Anniversary Tour at A.D. Gallery

This fall two of our favorite road warriors, Davy and Peter Rothbart, are hurtling your way on FOUND Magazine’s 10th Anniversary Tour, which celebrates the release of Davy’s book of personal essays, "My Heart is an Idiot," Peter’s new album, and a brand-new issue of FOUND. The Rothbart Brothers are hopping back in the tour van, FOUND treasures in tow, for an epic cross-country romp, with stops in 37 states and 75 cities!

At each exhilarating show, Davy (FOUND’s plucky point guard) will share the latest magnificent and mesmerizing finds that’ve landed in the mailbox at FOUND HQ, plus outrageous tales from his new book, while Peter (FOUND’s international heartthrob) will dazzle us with beautiful, haunting, and hilarious songs based on FOUND notes.

Come on out and join us at Anno Domini for the San Jose party!! Please bring your finds to share, and please let your friends in other cities know that they’re headed their way!!

Ken Davis solo exhibition at Empire Seven Oct. 12th

It's Alive, Hellbent for Letters is Ken Davis' debut solo exhibition and opens this Friday night 7–11pm at Empire Seven Studios.

“So, Empire Seven Studios has been kind enough to place the fate of their gallery for a month into my 1shot-covered hands. Being that San Jose is my second home and where some of my very best friends live, I couldn’t think of a more appropriate place for me to have my first solo show effort. What to expect you may ask? A whole lot of brand new work, and some older pieces that I am very proud of. Hope all of you can come and celebrate with me! For the opening I will be doing sho’card writing on request so think of a good line and for a small painters fee, you can walk away with a small original that night.” -Ken Davis

Opening Reception: Friday, October 12th, 7-11pm

Exhibition dates: October 12–26, 2012

Gallery hours: Weds & Fri, 12–6pm, Sat 12–4pm, or by appointment
