KALEID Gallery & the Two Buck Tues Crew presents:

TWO BUCK Tuesdays - April 21st. an all day $2 art sale and quirky speaker series on the third Tuesday of the month.

12noon - 8pm: $2 art all day

6pm - 8pm: interesting people speaker series- 10mns each, before / after demos and live music

------ Featured Speakers ------

Christina Deptula - Mutual Social Networking: Fun entrepreneurial business models for aspiring artists.
Taken from Christina's experience as Creative Facilitator of Synchronized Chaos variety magazine, this will be a discussion of what artists can learn from successful social networking business models and how to use strategies such as personal business cards, online and in-person networking, leveraging transferable skills, etc., all interspersed with free verse poems.

Eric Taggart - The Art of the Art Trade: How artists end up with art collections they could never afford.
Art trading is quite simple. Think credit default swaps, mortgage backed securities and collateralized debt obligations mixed with white album-era Beatles and Death Cab For Cutie pre-Narrow Stairs. It’s like that but with art.

Eric Taggart is a registered psychotherapist intern practicing in Los Altos and San Francisco. He doesn’t know anything about the financial markets, but knows 10 minutes worth of information about art trades.

“Shake a Leg” 10 minute express still life sketch session – bring paper / pencils!

------ Before & After Speaker Series Entertainment ------

Ben Shutz ceramic demos before and after the speakers.

Sam Brown will be playing unaccompanied saxophone in a freely improvised lyrical style throughout the evening.
